Good band, they became the Beautiful South later on. But good brainy pop, they might deny it, but Barenaked Ladies must have been influenced on some of their softer songs.

I love the whole Now That's What I call Quite Good album, great band.

Yes some members went on to form The Beautiful South another great band. DBS80 that album is great you shouls try tracking down their first album to, as it'a a corker.

I'm more familiar with Beautiful South, but I know they came from the ashes of the Housemartins. BS opened for Barenaked Ladies in the US back in 99 [think it was]...coincidence? I think not.

Ya, 'Song For Whoever' by The Beautiful South. That is a good one.
I also really like Happy Hour by The Housemartins.
