You know, these heavy metal questions always get me stuck cuz I can come up with a lot of people that totally rock. I'll say: OZZY RONNIE JAMES DIO BRUCE DIKINSON ROB HALFORD GEOFF TATE (QUEENSRYCHE is not my cup of tea but the man can sing, I will say that!) DAVID LEE ROTH: Not the greatest singer per se but great showman JAMES HETFIELD: METALLICA PINK FLOYD FREDDIE MERCURY: QUEEN : Not metal, but I love his voice BRIAN JOHNSON: ACDC: Not the greatest singer but great showman and so great in concert. ALICE COOPER: So heavily influenced everybody else, as did OZZY

My husband and I were just talking about this a few days ago! We both think that David Lee Roth is THE early 80's frontman, even though he's not the greatest singer. He's a great showman. And a lot of the mid and late 80's hair bands will tell you they were influenced by DLR era Van Halen- look at all of the bleach blonde frontmen! I like both Motley's and Mamamia's lists!

You know whats funny: They let me write the singer from IRON MAIDEN's name but the bleeped Sammy when he did it. I just realized that's because I am a bad speller and wrote "Dikinson" instead of "D!ckinson"!!!
