I'm listening to Billy Squire's Greatest Hits right now. Every song on there is good! the other day me and my friend heard a Billy Squier song ("In The Dark" ) and she started freaking out saying "I love him!" I said ""Me too!" I once went to a BON JOVI concert and Billy Squier was a special guest and came out and did a few songs with them. I was bugging out and the people sitting with me were like" It's Billy Squier, so what?" I think he's really under-rated.

Yes mamamia, he was underrated. But then he ruined his career with that video where he was dancing around like a fairy in the spandex and the pink tank top. He has now turned his back on the music industry. I heard he is very difficult to begin with. I once did a search for him on the net, but came up with nothing. I guess he does not have his own website. I really liked his music in the 80's, and so did everyone else I knew- everyone from the headbangers to the bubble-gum pop lovers.

That was what was so funny about it. My best freiend was standing there in an IRON MAIDEN t-shirt and I'm in a JUDAS PRIEST t-shirt and we're both in the middle of a mall jumping up and down going "Oooooh! Billy Squire!"
The Rock Me Tonight video (where Billy looks quite FLASHDANCE) is so bad it's funny. It's probably my favorite video (after Hot For Teacher).
My sister watches certain videos and says "Video killed the radio star" meaning that certain guys had a lot of hits on the radio and then once we saw what they looked like it was all over.( Christopher Cross, Steve Miller) I think Billy Squire might have had that problem.

There was a radio station that played Billy Squire for 8 straight hours the same song the whole time

Who can forget the Stroke? That was some of the best sleazy hard rock in the entire 80's. Actually it's too bad that he is difficult now, I thought he had a chance for a comeback when british rapper Dizzee Rascal had that song Fix up look sharp where he sampled Billy's the Big Beat, it would have been nice of him to make a few awards show appearances with Dizzee and sing his verse. It would have been a cool thing to do. Heck, on one of my Rhino power pop compilation cd's it even has his 70's group Piper on it with him singing a much different style.

The biggest reason that I correct spelling, is for search reasons. If someone was to look for Billy Squire, they wouldn't find anything, that's not his name. If I spell anything wrong, I expect to be corrected as well.

I think Billy Squier's downfall was that video with the neon, and the bad slithering around. But I do remember the Stroke getting kind of a rejuvination after Billy Madison.

I don't think The Stroke ever went away. I think it has to be considered one of the top ten staples of 80s music. But yeah that one video has been considered one of the worst videos of all time. Good song; very bad video.
