i know some people who cannot stand extended mixed songs but i love it. i try to find different versions of 80s music. new order, depeche mode and many others have tons of different versions and mixes of their music. there is an online radio station that i listen to, where they play nothing but extended remixes of 80s songs. it's great.
how about you guys? do you like the longer versions of the music, or would you rather stick to the originals & radio edited stuff?

I recently heard an awesome mix of Devo doing Nine Inch Nails' "Head Like A Hole." I never like radio edit because alot of times the song has been cut in portions to be just the right length to play on radio. I tend to favor the longer versions of songs...

NowhereGirl, I'm not all about the mix, but in a club scene dance environment mixes have there place. Love the Depeche Mode mix of "Enjoy The Silence" I scored off of I-Tunes....the ending is almost like another song which is Awesome.
Back in the late 80's, my friends and I would go to an afterhours dance club called NRGs. They played the most incredible mixes and dance songs ever. The coolest part was that most of the songs were tunes you never heard at regular dance clubs...very progressive atmosphere. The intense dance vibs made it like you were clubbing to a music video. I wish everyone could have been there!
