The Bangles played in Melbourne last Saturday night. Unfortunately I came home from Melbourne on Friday.
The reviews were very positive, saying they sounded better live than on cd.

I always thought that they sounded way off key, either live or on cd. The only song that I like is that one from "Less Than Zero", I can't remember the name of it. The rest of their songs were just silly bubblegum.

The song from Less than Zero is Hazy Shade of Winter, a Simon and Garfunkle cover. I really like the 60's like songs of the first album, but they had some other songs I di from the later albums. Wish they would tour here.

I admit Susannah Hoffs sometimes had a flexible sense of the musical key.

I'm a fan of The Bangles. I would check them out if they came around. If you're in a MellowYellow Mood the song "Eternal Flame" takes you back to the 80's.
