I may not have brought this up, but I'm writing a screenplay (a teen drama). I plan to hopefully direct as well, and a big part of my style is rhythmic cuts and sequences. I've written a few sequences with a style of song in mind, but they are still as of yet empty for actual songs.
This brings me to this song, Favourite Shirts (Boy Meets Girl). For about three weeks, I've been needing a song to follow my slacker character in a quick romp of grinning delinquincy. So today, while waiting for Trailer Park Boys to start, I flicked to my digital music channels and heard this song. It fit perfectly. It was fun, loaded with hook and distinctly 80s. I've just came to see any other opinions on it, and see if it's been used in a movie previously. Also, if I could find out whether or not it was a huge hit or not, so I can have an idea on whether or not I'll have to take it through the nose to get it.
Having to sell a child for a license is what I've been afraid of for English Beat's Mirror In The Bathroom as well.
Any thoughts?

I do remember seeing a video for this song if memory serves.
Great song! I really loved those guys back then. Pelican West was a great LP. I think they could have been big here but Nick had to leave and mess with the chemistry of the band.
