Picked up the soundtrack to the terrific Alan Parker movie Midnight Express on Vinyl.
https://youtu.be/ViN2bRGrBx8 - Giorgio Moroder's 13 minute plus long The Chase from Midnight Express.

Analog sound is awesome. I prefer the sound of tapes and records to CDs. It feels and sounds like a block of music hitting you as opposed to separate noises and not enough background. That's the best I can describe it.

Ditto on the analog sound. It was, and always will be, fantastic. Way back in the 70s, I had a quadraphonic setup--four speakers, two in the front, two in the back. And although there weren't many, and they were hard to come by, if you had a direct-to-disc quad album, it was like being right in the concert hall live. The direct-to-disc was the purest analog you could ever get. The sound went directly from the mics straight to the machine that cut the master for the LP, with no degradation by tape in between. Just perfect.

"We Didn't Start The Fire" is my favorite Billy Joel song. Hoping to find the single soon.

I managed to find a 10" "Everybody Wants To Rule The World" by Tears For Fears in my local vintage shop a week or so back.

On vinyl? I have to say, one of the best things about those CD sets in slipcases is that you can get all the Thompson Twins albums in little repro sleeves in a slipcase for about £10. Bargain!
Also Chloe (and any other Brits); places like Sainsbury's are now selling vinyl, and they have some great albums (lots of 80's ones) on heavy vinyl for about £15 each. I've seen things like 'Purple Rain', 'Violator', 'Welcome to the Pleasuredome' - and others - available.

My wife works in Sainsbury's Logan I'll have to ask her if they've got them in at my local Canterbury branch cheers for letting us know.
I've seen those CD sets with the repro sleeves and for £10 you get some serious bang for your buck!

Yes, on Vinyl.
Yes, my mother told me Sainsbury's are now selling Vinyl. She also told me she saw a couple of Depeche Mode ones in there, so will have to have a look next time I go in there. She can't remember which albums they are, though.

They definitely had Violator. Not sure what the other one would have been. Single albums are £14 and doubles are £20 (I think).

It's taking ages - and costing me a small fortune - to rebuild my vinyl collection after giving it away years ago for want of something to play it on...
Latest 80s albums I've picked up:
Pinky Blue - Altered Images
Listen - A Flock Of Seagulls
Mirror Moves - The Psychedelic Furs
Bridge of Spies - T'Pau
Welcome To The Pleasuredome - Frankie Goes To Hollywood
The Flat Earth - Thomas Dolby
First - Then Jerico
White Feathers - Kajagoogoo
Reality Effect - The Tourists
anthem - Toyah
Organisation - OMD
Turn Back The Clock - Johnny Hates Jazz
She Was Only a Grocer's Daughter - Blow Monkeys
Fine Young Cannibals - Fine Young Cannibals
That's far more than I thought I had bought - and doesn't include ANY of the non-80s ones....
