Until now I've used an 80's playlist for my iPod tunes (of which there are many), and it was easy to access, but with a flash of inspiration i decided to accurately update all the album release years and then create individual year playlists (1981, 1982 etc.)
Now I pick a year and all the tracks that were released that year get played in shuffle mode, so not only do you learn the exact year that single came out, but you get to discover album tracks that would otherwise get unplayed.
