Hordaks 1984 post got me thinking if David Lee Roth was the greatest front man in the 80's, For me it's Axl but Im biased cause I saw him live.

David Lee Roth shouldnt be overlooked......and Freddie Mercury was an excellent front man.....they were born to be front men.
Love Morrissey though, he was brilliant at Reading Festival.....

1 Bono 2 Roth, Axl Rose 3 Bon Jovi, Huey Lewis, Vince Neil 4 Joe Elliott, Simon LeBon, Phil Collins 5 Steve Perry, Jagger 6 Getty Lee, Reno 7 Prince That Cure guy I know belongs on here but I just dont know enough of their stuff.
