Got her Greatest Hits CD for my birthday, and thus figured it appropriate to ask this. Certainly it's an open field given how pretty much ever album she released in the decade yielded multiple hits, but, although my actual favorite songs of hers is Coming Out of the Dark from the 90s, in the 80s itself I'd have to go with the more offbeat Falling in Love (a.k.a. the "Uh Oh Song"), which has a nice smooth backing track that just makes you want to go out and softly whirl with someone.

Sorry Chris...I'm not typipcally critical of others' music interests, and like a lot of different geners, however...I really really dislike Gloria's music. But what do I know...I own and love Rhinestone w' Sylvester Stallone! Happy Birthday by the way!

I should add, however, that for some strange reason, I know a lot of the words from Conga...and can sing it just as fast as Gloria without missing a beat...go figure. And, since I rudely ignored your actual question....I guess I'll give "Conga" my vote....come on shake your body baby do the conga, I know you can't control yourself any longer, feel the rhythm of the music getting stronger...da da da da da da da.....

happy birthday chris, and i am so with you on 'falling in love'... it is my favorite song by the miami sound machine.
i grew up listening to her music, including her spanish albums.
the 'let it loose' album was so much fun. songs like 'betcha say that', 'rhythm is gonna getcha, and 1, 2, 3...were big hits.
going back to her earlier stuff, i also loved 'bad boy'..the video has always stuck with me....i used to think it was a bit creepy as a kid. Miami Sound Machine - Bad Boy

There is something oddly polarising about Gloria, and I'm not sure why. She seems really nice and down to earth, but for some reason people either love or hate her music.
I love her ballads, and my vote goes for 'I Can't Stay Away From You'.

i love it. that one, and 'don't wanna lose you now' are her best ballads, IMO.
80srocked, 'live for loving you' and 'go away' are my favorite non 80s tunes by gloria. both are fun and quirky.
