Wondering if anyone's heard the new White Lies song "Bigger Than Us". Welcome back to the 80's! This song is pure 80's magic...I love love love it. The video even mimics our beloved movie ET. Take a listen:

I can't wait to get the new album. I have their debut and some them in concert with another 80's loving band Friendly Fires a few years back. The first album reminded me a bit of Echo and the Bunnymen and Teardrop Explodes, can't wait to hear the new one.

Hey Rip...I'm gonna splurge for the old one and new. I did a quick search a while back because I had never heard of the band, and I recall reading that they had earlier albums under a different name...changed names when they went in a different direction. Can't remember the former name, and no time to look right now...I'll check it out later.....though, I'm guessing if they went in a differnet direction, their older stuff may be nothing like their new?

White Lies are an English alternative rock band from Ealing, London. Formerly known as Fear of Flying, the band consists primarily of Harry McVeigh (lead vocals, guitar), Charles Cave (bass guitar and backing vocals), and Jack Lawrence-Brown (drums).[2] The band are complemented by session musicians Tommy Bowen (keyboards) and DJ Rob Lee (turntablism).[3]
White Lies formed in October 2007, upon writing songs they felt didn't suit their original band. After delaying their first performance for five months to build up media hype, they earned a recording contract with Fiction Records days after their debut. The release of singles "Unfinished Business" and "Death" led to tours and festival appearances.....
