Okay I am so reminded of this song because my guilty pleasure movie of the month is Coneheads and it is in there a couple of times.

"Tainted love.....tainted love.." the music is so catchy that you can't help but love this one.

I don't know who sings it right off, but everytime I hear it I always think of Dan Akroyd dancing around in a diaper trying to distract the big monster at the end of Coneheads.

No they werent....they were quite popular here actually. Ive seen Marc Almond a couple of times....I spose its fair to say that his solo career was a bit more successful though.

i love the WHERE DID OUR LOVE GO jingle mixed into TAINTED LOVE. that's the part that makes the song worth listening to, IMO.

...which for a British group puts them in a real big club. IMHO Tainted Love was cool, but Say Hello, Wave Goodbye was the better song.

Here's a question for ya - if nobody in the US gave British groups in the 80s that much time - shown by the number of 'one hit wonders' - how come most of the really great movies have soundtracks featuring so many British groups?
