Any fans? Kind of a super group in it's day with former members from Dead Boys, Sham 69 and the Damned. I have a few of their albums, some pretty catchy tunes.

I heard of the Dead Boys a long time ago, but only became familiar with LOTNC when I heard Russian Roulette playing in club on an 80's night in the lte 90's. Too bad about Stiv, he got hit by a car in Paris and didn't get the medical attention he needed.

I remember seeing some of the LOTNC's videos back on MTV in the 80s. "Open Your Eyes" & "Method to My Madness" for sure; there might have been a third. I first became familliar with The Dead Boys when Guns n Roses recorded "Ain't it Fun" on the "spaghetti Incident" album. Lots of cool stuff on that disc.

If you ever stumble on a book called from the Velvets to the Voidoids it's a real good read on the nascent american punk scene in the 60's and 70's w/ bands like Stooges, MC5, Ramones, Television and Blondie. The best thing is it has chapters on the ignored Cleveland scene where bands like Rocket from the Tombs, Electric Eeels, Styrenes, Mirrors, Pere Ubu, even Devo and Chrissie Hynde came from Ohio. Rocket from the Tombs predated the Dead boys, I actually was lucky enough to see a reunion show a few years back that had Dave Thomas(the Pere Ubu singer, not Wendy's)and Dead Boys gutarist Cheetah Chrome. Pretty good, just funny that the Dead Boys kept so many Rocket from the Tombs songs. Spaghetti Incident gave a lot of old punk bands some shine and recognition, it's too bad GnR didn't do a club tour for it like Slash wanted too.
