Did RACHEL SWEET have any other memorable songs other than VOODOO from the VALLEY GIRL soundtrack and her duet with REX SMITH of Everlasting Love? Other than those songs I don't know anything else she did.

Good question, I've seen her vinyl around and was tempted to see what it was like. Maybe I will do some searching this weekend.

Hmm, I wonder if some of the songs on there are covers? I see the last song is Be Stiff, which is a rare Devo song. It's even covered by Toni Basil on her greatest hits.

I really like that VOODOO song from VALLEY GIRL. When I listen to her voice: she dedinately had that '80s sound. I think she could have been a Big Star. Thats why Im surprised I never really ehard anything after VOODOO. Then one day I was follin around downloading stuff and I typed in "RACHEL SWEET" and up popped this song she did with REX SMITH so I downloaded it (Not a great song, in my opinion...the original '70s Disco version is better) Sometimes I wonder about some of these people! Another one is JOSIE COTTON. We all know her from her VALLEY GIRL songs...but again- she had such a good sound that it makes me wonder why she wasn't CYNDI LAUPER Big in the '80s. I'll even throw TONI BASIL unto the heap since someone mentioned her! I think I have only heard Mickey and one other song by her. It just makes me wonder why these people never became huge....and makes me 25 years later want to find some of their stuff and listen to it.
