I heard this in the car this morning and I started laughing. Happy birthday EVH.

Eddie is good but he's no Jimi Hendrix, Randy Rhoads or Zack Wylde.
Happy Birthday just the same to the ex-Mr. Valerie Bertinelli.
I still take David Lee Roths side in the big Van Halen breakup
I always wanted to get a Tee shirt that I saw EVH wear quite a few times during the 80's that said No Bozo's

That's great he had a birthday. Did he have cancer?? I was almost positive that he had throat cancer, because of what a heavy duty chain smoker he was, so I am sure he is grateful to have made it to another birthday. I didn't even know it was his birthday...so it was weird that my son dug out 2 Van Halen CD's last night, we were looking for the song Jamie's Crying, and I don't have it, but I want it bad, does anyone know what album it was from??

And Sam, Jamie might not be crying, but Eddie probably is right now. 50 it just can't be.

This was on internet regarding his battle with cancer:
"I know I promised I’d get back to you and I’m sorry for the delay but I wanted to let you all know that I’ve just gotten a 100 percent clean bill of health – from head to toe," Eddie Van Halen wrote on the website, Van-Halen.com. Van Halen, who is a recovering alcoholic and smoker, had hip replacement surgery in 1999.
