I remember thinking this as she won in 2000. And now she gets another. It was a pretty good KK presence at the Oscars with Swank and Bill Conti in the orchestra pit.

Yeah I bet that she didn't think when she was making the Next Karate Kid that she would be at least a two time Oscar Winner and she is only 30!

Yes, and only if Morita had won for KK 1 when he was nominated in '84. Because that's now 2 for Swank, Avildsen's Rocky won some, and Elisabeth Shue has picked up one.

Why wasn't The Next Karate Kid given its own DVD instead of being put on the same DVD as Karate Kid 3?

That movie is a joke,it shouldn´t have had the suffix "karate kid", and Morita shouldn`t have acepted the role.It reminds when Richard Creena took part in Hot shots 2, a parody of Rambo III.
