Does anybody know anything about a band called "MATCHES"...they contributed a song for the Karate Kid soundtrack called "the Ride"...I've fanatically been looking for this song over two years now...I was just wondering if anyone knows or does have this song on tape or CD...Maybe have some info about the band...PLEASE HELP ME in the right direction!!!!!

I have also tried hard to research them and have come up with a theory:
The name "matches" is a made-up name for a bunch of 'session musicians' who made that song for when the Cobra Kai ride down to the beach... Otherwise, someone would have uncovered something by now.... :((

What do u think...!? Where do u figure we can find that song!?! I've tried finding Arthur Brooks e-mail or some sort of contact...but couldn't find anything...There's also this guy producer...he's worked with Kiss...practically a legend...Richie Wise...he has supposely produced the song...and some guys called Geoffrey and Sam Rose...wrote it!!! Personally I'm goin nuts...I donnu where to write or who to ask...I've been looking for the song for almost 2 years now...someone has got to have it...

Well, You could record the bit of the song You hear in the movie on tape, but the whole song, I dont know. I am searching for one song from the movie "no retreat, no surrender", namely the one during Jason´s training. The original is from Paul Gilreath and is called "stand on your own", but I would like to find the version in the movie.
