Ive been a big big fan of this movie since i can remember and my passion for it has grown more and more over the years, it truly is a masterpiece and alltime classic.Having stumbled across this site ive been so amazed at all the info collected on the it and i just keep comin bak to find more and more! Reading through the posts on here i was relieved and amused to see how many other fans there were like me ( God i really am normal! crys with tears of joy LOL!!!)so i had to sign up and ask a few questions of my own ,get ur pens and pads out ...
1. Im a kickboxer and have been training for just over a year now but as most of u know it was formed through karate! I luv the art! and especially the kata side of it!In KK3 Mr Miyagi teaches Daniel the kata which defeats Mike Barnes and ive tried to learn it.Any1 out there know it????
2.What the hell is that crappy "Roughneck starship troopers " trailer on the special features represent ,what is that in relation to the movie????im baffled!
Thats it for now! Thx
May the Bonzai inside be with you!

I have also tried to learn the KK3 kata over the years. The best I can say is just keep studying the movie, and get friendly with your rewind button LOL! I used to do that to ge it down, but I haven't quite gotten it. It actually got to the point where I just adapted it into my own new "kata", after I goit frustrated with trying to do it perfectly. Also, I don't have the Starship Troopers trailer on mine. The only connections I can think of are 1) KK and ST could both be from the same movie studio, or 2)Michael Ironside was in both Next KK, and ST, so maybe there's a correlation there? I dunno...good luck man!

Hiii!! yea its gonna take a hell of alot of rewinds to get it down lol.Its a Shame there isnt a step by step guide on here of how to do it but i guess that would be asking too much.As for the starship troopers trailer,i would never have known that without following the cast in other movies. But ur probably right,it just seemed completley random to have it included on the dvd. Thanks for your insight on that tho!

I think there are two versions of the Miyagui family Kata. The first is the one Danny performed in the Cobra Dojo and the other one is when he does it in the Sudden death.

The kata performed in "KK3" is called "Seiunchin" (pronounced say - yoon- cheen) and is from Goju Ryu karate, the style that Miyagi taught LaRusso. This kata is also found in Isshin Ryu karate, both from Okinawa.

Yeah that´s awesome, I thought that kata was invented by the KK crew (Pat Johnson or the one who invented the crane)
