I find it curious that you guys focus so much on the bit actors in this movie (as in the Cobra Guy guys)
Not that I'm putting them down or anything (I think they did a great job!) but it's just interesting.
(I don't think 'bit actors' is a good way to describe them... I just couldn't think of another name for them))
Also, I've noticed that the school the Karate Kid was filmed at was also the same school that Nightmare on Elm St Part II was filmed. Does anyone know of any other films ?

I think the school was closed, so it probably didn't get anymore films made there.
As for most of us liking the supporting characters, I think everybody did a good job. I've seen that movie so many times, and every time I watch it, I realize that all the characters fit together so well.
The main characters were so important and so were the rest of the cast. Everybody was believable in their role.
