I hope not there's nothing wrong with the original and it will always be the best, why can't film makers come up with new idea's for movies instead of just remaking classics like the Karate Kid don't they realise that the original is always the best.

Whilst there's a market for remakes, they will continue to get made. They are a safe option for the studios.
Personally I enjoy many remakes more than the originals. Plus, it opens up the franchise to a new generation who MAY enjoy it and look out for the originals...

I personally don't think the original Karate Kid movie as aged really and probably would still apeal to the younger generation. I could understand it if it was a 70 year old black and white movie.

I would rather see a new story than a remake. I say the movie should start at Myagi's funeral. Daniel, Johnny, Sato and others are there. Johnny runs the Cobra Kai dojo. Daniel is a business who still trains in private on his own. He ends up teaming up with Johnny to help train a pupil...........

I really, really,REALLY hope it's not going to happen. You can't remake a film like The Karate Kid.
