This movie stands as the 6th variation on Ben Hecht and Charles MacArthur's classic play "The Front Page". The 5 previous versions were the 1931 movie of the same name, a 1940 remake called "His Girl Friday", a British TV movie (one of the first ever) in 1948, a 1974 adaptation by Billy Wilder and the classic 80s series "Moonlighting".Rewind Archive

I actually remastered and restored this film back in 2001 and I believe that this master was used for the DVD release in the UK and Europe. When it was mastered both full frame and letterbox versions were made from the original 35mm interpositive print and were of very good quality.Thanks to C.T. Warren
