Roxanne dreamed of a handsome, intelligent, romantic man. C.D. Bales is two out of three...Totally Trivia
Film facts for the 1987 Romantic Comedy movie starring Steve Martin, Daryl Hannah, Rick Rossovich, Shelley Duvall
John Kapelos, Fred Willard, Max Alexander, Michael J. Pollard, Steve Mittleman Update Cast
We believe the following trivia is all legit. If it's bogus or you have additional info, please update us.
Thanks to C.T. Warren
Mayor Deitz is portrayed by comedic character actor Fred Willard, who was a regular bit player on The Tonight Show during Jay Leno's original tenure(he hasn't been on since Jay's return following the Conan debacle, but there's still hope). An alumnus of the Second City comedy troupe, he has appeared in such recent films as "Anchorman", "For Your Consideration" and "WALL*E".

When Michael J. Fox was joining the Screen Actors Guild, there was already another Michael Fox. He added the "J." in honor of Michael J. Pollard who plays "Andy," the shy, white-haired volunteer firefighter. He's the one who gets Rick Rossovich's character to go into the bookstore to buy the Jean-Paul Sartre book (which inadvertantly impresses Daryl Hannah's character) for him because he's too shy to do it himself. Thanks to Kim Jacobsmeyer
Kevin Nealon plays one of the drunken skiiers that insults C.D. in the opening scene of the movie and gets beaten with the tennis raquet. He more recently played Doug Wilson from Weeds. Thanks to C.T. Warren
Steve Martin often has former/present/future members of his SNL brethren starring in his films, or at least making cameos. Most people are too focused on the comedic action at the beginning, but if you look before the trouble starts, you'll notice Kevin Nealon making an appearance. He's one of the drugged-out troublemakers C.D. beats up with the tennis racket! In fact, the best view of him is when he's face-to-face with Steve and asks "Had enough yet?" right before he's eye-gouged with the (in)famous nose!Bogus Trivia
There's often fake stuff floating round, y'know? -Like the 'ghost boy' that can allegedly be seen in "Three Men And A Baby".
The following trivia for "Roxanne" is apparently bogus. If you disagree or have additional info, please update us.At one point in the film a character is talking to Chris about Roxanne's surname being odd and says "It's Kazanski or something like that". Iceman Kazanski was Val Kilmer's character in Top Gun (1986) which also starred 'Rick Rossovich.
But, Indigo Stardust wrote in to say: Her last name is Kowalski! Therefore, no correlation to the "Iceman," or Top Gun. Also, that conversation occurs between Ms. Kowalski and C.D. C.D. cracks a joke about it and she proudly assures him that it was, in fact, Kowalski.
