Revenge of the Nerds is mentioned in the film American Splendor (which came out in 2003 I think) - the main characters of American Splendor go to see Revenge of the Nerds and discuss it on the ride home afterwards! Thanks to Nick Robalik
The "concert" scene in ROTN isn't a parody of Devo - it's a parody of the older, and in my opinion much better, German, Industrial Techno act Kraftwerk, who - unike Devo - had their instruments strapped around their neck in the same fashion as the "nerds" in this movie. While the jumpsuits are decidedly Devo, as Kraftwerk usually wore fairly nice, conservative suits while performing, on more than one occasion they wore one-piece silver jumpsuits, much like the yellow jumpsuits in ROTN.Thanks to Kevin Allustiarti And Eric Snively

When Revenge of the Nerds was released worldwide, Danish captioners decided that the traditional word for a nerd, "kvat," wasn't good enough anymore. So in honor of the film's launch, a new word was added to the Danish language, "nord," which replaced the old term and still remains in the Danish lexicon today. Thanks to WES
