Filming of Dream a Little Dream began on January 18, 1988.Four days before the making of the film, Corey Haim broke his leg.
In the movie, Dinger (portrayed by Haim), says that his mom ran over his leg in her Volvo. But what happened in real life was Corey was teaching his mother Judy how to ride a moped.
Judy couldn't reach the brakes very well which had a result of her ending up with a broken nose and Corey having a broken leg.
A few weeks after Corey Haim had his cast removed. But he was required to wear a false one for his character during the remainder of the shoot.
