Transformers: The Movie was filmed entirely on a soundstage or was an animated production.
The mountain that the autobots crashed into is Lookout Mountain on the border of Tennessee and Georgia, it all takes place in Chattanooga Tn. [Thanks to Misty Gutierrez]
