Teen Wolf Filming Locations:

The same house was used for Lorraine's 1955 house in 1955 in Back to the Future.

The street where Scott walks Boof home is actually Bushnell Avenue, South Pasedena -the same street we see Michael J. Fox pursue Crispin Glover down as Marty McFly in "Back to the Future" and was used in loads of 80's movies.

Tony's Liquor (now the quick stop), Foothill Blvd, Tunjunga, CA (the liquor store where Stiles fails to buy beer)

The hardware store Scott's pop owned was Balk's "True Value" Hardware store at 1518 Mission Street, South Pasadena. It has since closed down.

John Burroughs Middle School in Los Angeles, California was used for most of the school sets including the classrooms. [Thanks to Robert / Rod Daniel]

The basketball scenes were filmed at Lennox Middle School, just east of LAX. [Thanks to Rod Daniel]

South Pasadena Middle School (Fair Oaks Blvd. Between Rollin & Oak Streets) the basketball game scenes were shot in the schools gym. [Thanks to Christopher Cotton]

When Scott is riding a top the green truck, it is a number of streets near the Bushnell Avenue location. Later, we see it exit Fair Oaks Avenue in South Pasadena turning West on Mission Avenue. For a split second you can even see the Fair Oaks Avenue sign in the background, followed by Mission as he heads West. [Thanks to Pete]

The Nebraska Conspiracy: Over the years there has been long standing debate as to whether other locations used allegedly included Fremont, NB. An Alumni of Fremont High School wrote in with the following:

"In a previous review of "Teen Wolf" it states that some of the gym scenes and locker room scenes were filmed at Fremont High School, in Fremont Nebraska. This is a false report. None of the scenes from "Teen Wolf" were filmed in the state of Nebraska.

There is a credit at the end of the film that recognizes Friends from Fremont Nebraska. The reasoning for this rumor is the sticker and calendar in the coaches office that are Husker Power and various Husker items that make an appearance in the movie. Scotts kitchen is a Husker calendar as well. This is being investigated and believed that someone from the City of Fremont may have came up with the plot and possibly idea for Teen Wolf.

All I know for sure is that NO shots were made in the school or in Nebraska. A friend of mine was the Coach of the football team at that time and he has no recollection of such filming in locker rooms or thereabouts. I am also a Alumni of Fremont High and nothing in any scene is familiar. Neither Michael J. Fox nor the Coach Bobby Finstock stepped foot in Nebraska much less Fremont confirmed by then Head Football Coach and Athletic Director of Fremont High at the time of shooting of film."

Ryan Mugan kindly writes in with another twist to the Fremont Nebraska conspiracy theory: when Styles rolls up in the Wolf Mobile, the front license plate is clearly Nebraska. The Howard Hardware van and Styles' convertible also match the Nebraska plate design of the Wolf Mobile... White plate with red lettering and a red bar across the top and red or blue bar across the bottom. -Go Big Red!

Rod Daniel, the Director of Teen Wolf kindly wrote in to answer once and for all:

Let me clear up a few things. We shot the entire film around L.A. No scenes were filmed on location [in Nebraska]. There is reference to my thanking "Friends in Freemont Nebraska", thus fueling this rumor of location shooting there. That credit is there because I picked Freemont by throwing a dart at a map of Nebraska which landed on Freemont, 30 or so miles from Omaha. I called the local high-school and asked them to assemble a group of seniors because I wanted to know what teenagers from a small town in the Mid-west were thinking... doing... How did they party. What about drugs, parents, etc. I spent 3 hours with about 30 assembled seniors from Freemont High School and then saw fit to acknowledge them with a credit. They were great kids.. I learned, and used in the film, a lot of what they told me.
