Who Framed Roger Rabbit Filming Locations:

The Griffith Park tunnel serves as the road entrance to Toontown. The same location was used as the entrance to NORAD in WarGames (1983)

This same tunnel was also used for the Biff Tannen / Marty Hoverboard chase scene in Back to the Future 2, another Robert Zemekis movie. [Thanks to Doug Reilly]

A picture of the tunnel from the movie can be seen here. Look closely and you can see a painting of Felix the cat at the top of the archway, which must have been added just for this movie because it isn't normally there.

The scene where Eddie Valiant, Roger Rabbit, and Benny the Cab jumped onto the bridge after escaping the police at DVD timecode 00:59:40 NTSC was filmed at the Hyperion Bridge at 3280 Hyperion Ave which is only 2.2 miles (3½ Km) northeast of Surplus Value Center at 3828 W Sunset Blvd -which was the location of Nick The Nazi's surplus center in the 1993 movie "Falling Down". [Thanks to "Mountain Mike" Johanssen]

Exteriors of the Maroon Cartoon studios were shot at Ren-Mar Studios in Hollywood, California. [Thanks to John Edward Kilduff]

This isn't part of the movie itself but on the DVD just before the menu comes up, Benny the cab approaches at 825 N Cahuenga Blvd. When the viewer gets in Benny The Cab just before the menu options come up, you're sitting at 801 Cahuenga Blvd. [Thanks to "Mountain Mike" Johanssen]

LX Preview

LX is our radical new locations feature that we've been beavering away on.. For years!

Each location will have it's own page with then/now pictures, maps, StreetView, discovery story and the most detailed explanations on how the location was used. Most importantly, the locations will have a status that shows whether they are verified correct and by whom. We are working with the actual locations managers or other crew where possible. The whole thing will be very interactive and you will, of course, be able to update everything.
