First Blood Filming Locations:
These scenes were actually shot at The Sheriff's office, located at Wallace St. and Third Avenue in Hope, BC, Canada.
First Blood was filmed on location in Hope in British Columbia. A map of the locations used and some behind-the-scenes details can be found here.
The upper capilino canyon, in north Vancouver, was also used as a "first blood" location. (below the dam)
Scott Hardy at firstbloodfilminglocatons.com (Linked in the "recommended links" below) found the Opening Scene, Junkyard, Waterfall and the various chase scenes which are located in and around the Pitt River Region of Port Coquitlam, B.C. Beside the Town, Bridge and Cliff scenes everything else was filmed in and around the greater vancouver area. Herve Attia, who is a friend of his came up here to film a four part series called "On the set of First Blood". For locations videos for this film and many more, search for Herve Attia's videos on youtube. Definitely worth a watch.
Delmar Berry's farm... In the opening scenes is on the pitt river in "Port Coquitlam". You go up the river, around the corner and straight on. It's south of the gravel pit and at the foot of that unnamed road off of Quary road (a private road). Best approach would be from the river! Where that road meets Quary road is where they shot Teagle crashing the gate and the fence jump.
Quarry road is where the chase was filmed. Above it, up the mountain is where the junkyard is, yup the old truck is still there! (and the waterfall). The base camp is half way up the left side of Alouette lake, just across the bridge. [Thanks to Brian Torch]

LX Preview
LX is our radical new locations feature that we've been beavering away on.. For years!
Each location will have it's own page with then/now pictures, maps, StreetView, discovery story and the most detailed explanations on how the location was used. Most importantly, the locations will have a status that shows whether they are verified correct and by whom. We are working with the actual locations managers or other crew where possible. The whole thing will be very interactive and you will, of course, be able to update everything.
