The NeverEnding Story II Filming Locations:
NeverEnding Story II was filmed on location all over the world including Argentina, Australia, Canada, France, Italy, Munich, Bavaria, Germany, Vancouver and British Columbia, Canada.
The waterfalls were filmed at the Devil's Throat, on the Argentina side of Iguazu Falls. [Thanks to The Location Hunter]
There is a scene where Bastian's father is driving through downtown. They filmed this scene in Downtown Vancouver. A total of three locations are shown here:
1. Hornby Street and W Pender Street (driving northwestward on W Pender Street).
2. W Georgia Street - in between Burrard Street and Hornby Street (driving southwestward).
3. Melville Street and Thurlow Street (driving northwestward on Melville Street; you can see Burrard Station in the background). [Thanks to The Location Hunter]
Bastian's home was filmed at the same location that was used in the first film: 13495 19 Avenue, Surrey, British Columbia. [Thanks to The Location Hunter]
The Fantasia scenes that were filmed on sets were filmed on Stage 7 at Bavaria Film Studios. They had originally intended to build 3 stages: one for first unit, one for second units, and one for the effects. At the last minute, the studio cancelled the deal, forcing both first and second units to be filmed simultaneously on the same stage. [Thanks to The Location Hunter]

LX is our radical new locations feature that we've been beavering away on.. For years!
Each location will have it's own page with then/now pictures, maps, StreetView, discovery story and the most detailed explanations on how the location was used. Most importantly, the locations will have a status that shows whether they are verified correct and by whom. We are working with the actual locations managers or other crew where possible. The whole thing will be very interactive and you will, of course, be able to update everything.
