About Last Night Filming Locations:
These scenes were actually shot at Bootleggers, located in Chicago, Illinois. Google Map
Most publications and online references will tell you that the crew used the original Mother Malones club on 26 W. Division Street. Well, it's quite unbelievable but true that, although the crew used the bar's name, the exterior in the movie is not Mother's on 26 W. Division Street at all. The exact location used for the exterior of Mother Malone's is Bootleggers at 13 W. Division, across the street from the Original Mother's Nightclub. There are several clues in the movie which you can use to draw this conclusion. First you jump to the scene where Debbie and Joan are at Mother's and a soaking wet Danny enters the club. Debbie runs outside, followed by Danny. On the street, you can see in the background two important things: first, you see Houlihan's, which was on the corner of Division and Dearborn back in the '80's (there is now a copyshop called 'Kinko's'). Next door, at 26 W. Division Street, you have the original Mother's nightclub, which you can easily confirm by the big trademark heartlogo of the bar. Nextdoor, you have She-nannigan's House of Beer. The three bars are visible across the street from the bar Debbie and Danny leave. The key-clue to confirm the location used is Bootleggers, is a lamp that is visible in the New Year's scene where Danny and Debbie have a fight. The camera moves so that the exterior of the club is visible and when you look really careful, you can see a small lamp against the exterior of the nextdoor bar. Well, that exact same lamp is still there today, almost 20 years later, at the exterior of the nextdoor bar, The Alumni Club. [Thanks to Ann Leysen]
The bar scenes were actually filmed at Mother's Too, not the original Mother's Bar. They are actually right down the street from each other on Division. [Thanks to Kristen]
Other Chicago, IL locations used include Grant Park (for the baseball) and Lincoln Park (walk beside the lake).
The opening scene is the Wells st bridge. You can see lasalle bridge. [Thanks to Matthew]
The "Salt & Pepper Diner" at 2575 N Lincoln Ave allegedly stood in for the "Swallow". Although Brad wrote in to say that he lived across from the Salt & Pepper Diner (and now lives just down the street), and the shots of the street & the general area around it are not consistent with what is there. Plus, if you look in the background of the scene where Danny tells the owner of the Swallow Diner that he has to cut him off, you will see a street sign that says 'Canal'. That is a street that mainly is on Chicago's south side/western Loop area that goes only as far north as the river (300 North). Maybe part of the movie was filmed at the Salt & Pepper Diner, but not all. [Thanks to Brad]
Dan's appartment is in Lincoln Park.
Debbie and Joan's apartment was filmed at 1000 West Diversey. [Thanks to Don Heap]
The beer garden scene next to the "L" was filmed at Kelly's Pub on Webster. [Thanks to Don Heap]
When Danny and Debbie split up, Dan watches Debbie going to a movie. He stand across the street of the Biograph Theater on 2433 North Lincoln Ave.
In the opening sequence, Dan and Bernie walk across the La Salle bridge over the Chicago River. [Thanks to Ann Leysen]

Most importantly, the locations will have a status that shows whether they are verified correct and by whom. We are working with the actual locations managers or other crew where possible. The whole thing will be very interactive and you will, of course, be able to update everything.
