After Hours Filming Locations:
These scenes were actually shot at The Emerald Pub, located in New York, New York. Google Map
Many real-life locations in New York's SoHo district were used. The stainless steel diner where Hackett and Marcy first meet is not the "Moondance Diner" at 80 Sixth Avenue as often reported. The diner featured in the film, (for the exterior dolly tracking shot just before Paul and Marcy enter a diner and he asks her about Frank) was the River Diner on 11th Avenue and 37th Street in Manhattan. As for the scene in the beginning of the film where they meet for the first time I'm at a loss. The shape of the room, windows, entrance and everything else looks nothing like the interior of the Moondance, (it was a favorite and sorely missed spot of mine). Even though there was a remodeling, most likely some time after 1985, the frame of the building still would not be able to match the cafe or diner interior in the beginning of the film. Just this past summer the Moondance got replaced by a glass and steel hotel in Soho. The River Diner was gone by March of 2004 and probably faced the same fate. [Thanks to Bruce].
Kiki Bridges' apartment is at 28 Howard Street and "The Terminal Bar" is really The Emerald Pub at 308 Spring Street. Opposite is Barmaid Teri Garr's apartment.
The metro station "where the prices just went up" is Spring Street.
Hackett's office building is the Metropolitan Life Tower, Madison Avenue near Madison Square Park.

LX is our radical new locations feature that we've been beavering away on.. For years!
Each location will have it's own page with then/now pictures, maps, StreetView, discovery story and the most detailed explanations on how the location was used. Most importantly, the locations will have a status that shows whether they are verified correct and by whom. We are working with the actual locations managers or other crew where possible. The whole thing will be very interactive and you will, of course, be able to update everything.
