The only mistake is a misunderstanding. One of the most controversial lines is after Miyagi beats up John Kreese. Daniel asks Miyagi if he could have killed him then says, 'Why didn't you then?' So many react to Daniel with: DUH, because I would go to Jail? The misunderstanding is Daniel thought about a minute before Miyagi was going to kill him, not Suggesting it.
