"Shoeless" Joe Jackson was a lefty batter. He was born and grew up in South Carolina. Ray Liotta grew up on the New Jersey side of the NY Metropolitan area. He batted righty in the movie and did not speak with any hint of a Southern accent.Thanks to Mike Reilly
When a gas station attendant tells Ray Kinsella (Kevin Costner) that Terrence Mann's (James Earl Jones') house is two blocks on the right. He finds it on the left.Thanks to David Uffelman
