A 1990 black comedy about a woman's attempts to murder her philandering husband to less than satisfying results, with help from her mother, her co-worker and two drug addicts.

Directed by Lawrence Kasdan and stars Kevin Kline, Tracey Ullman, River Phoenix, Joan Plowright, William Hurt and Keanu Reeves.

Keep an eye out for Heather Graham as a girl who Phoenix asks out on a date, and an uncredited cameo from Phoebe Cates who plays one of Kline's mistresses.

I really disliked I Love You to Death. The film teeters and totters trying to find the right tone for the slim material, and all the great actors in the cast are having a field day--some overacting more than others, that's you Kevin Kline--but it all just doesn't work. Lawrence Kasdan directed four fine films in a row--and Body Heat is one of the best first films of any director ever--and then this one, a big miss. He had one more good film, Grand Canyon, but much like Barry Levinson, he has struggled as a director for decades. He just lost his touch. I'm glad he's back to writing Star Wars films. He's still pretty good at that.

Rewatched this one and i have to say that it wasn´t quite as good as i remembered.

Kline is awesome and i love his over the top italian accent. Ullman did good too.

The whole movie just stops after the junkie duo Harlan/Marlon (Hurt & Reeves) arrives and the primus motor Kevin Kline gets stuck in the bed.

So i really like the first half where we can see our hero Joey the pizzaman/part time plumber fooling around from girl to girl [Smile]
The second half, not so much.
