I can't think of any and the 90s was the decade in which I *GREW UP*.
Perhaps we should've waited a few more years to launch a 90s board...Then again, my alter-alter-ego (The 80s Avenger) would be working overtime if various Rewinders were still talking about 90s movies in the 80s movies forum (You all know who you are! ).
I'll think of something eventually.

actually, there's lots of 90s stuff i love but (a) i bet no one has heard of most of it and (b) it tends to be pretty retro! there's this band called "corduroy" that played all through the 90s that did this great dance music that was modeled after incidental movie music, 60s spy movie music and 70s car chase stuff, really great.
and this other great acid-jazz fusion band called medeski martin and wood. it's popular among phish-heads, they do real bouncy danceable organ music, very 60s sounding... but they all went to julliard, super-smart musicians.
and then of course the best thing to come out of the 90s was MST3K! which did, like, maybe one movie that wasn't from the 40s through the 80s...
in terms of real popular stuff, grunge was okay but didn't grab me enough for me to get nostalgic over it. there were good movies (i loved JFK, the oliver stone movie) but nothing that was bad in that charming way i like and miss so much. the Good-Bad Movie is a lost art form!
oh, well. according to the 20-year theory the 90s will start being cool retro in the 2010s. we'll see what people come up with to be nostalgic for then, i suppose. i'm curious.

True Romance one of the best movies of all time came from the 90s. Awesomely written by Quentin Tarantino and directed by Tony Scott. The cast is second to none in my opinion

all put on awesome performances and the scene between Hopper and Walken is cinematic gold.
Highly reccommended unless you're against senseless violence.

I own "Pulp Fiction" and "Resevoir Dogs", but I only watched 20 minutes of fiction and I never even opened up "Dogs".
What I saw of "Pulp Fiction" didn't impress me. The violence wasn't cool and the dialogue didn't work for me, either.
Strangely, I find the "Kill Bill" movies good, though.

I think it could be because the violence and extraordinary amount of blood in Kill Bill is so over the top it makes it fairly unbelievable.

JK, do yourself a favour and give those movies a try again. Even though they have over the top violence, there is enough pop culture humour and great characters to stand on it's own. tarantion also givs us these perplexing moral dilemnas such as why exactly did bruce Willis go back down to the basement after escaping to finish off those rednecks? I haven't seen the Kill Bill filmsyet myself, just waiting until all the special DVD editions are out so I can pick the best one.

When I said the violence wasn't cool, I meant that I wanted to see gore galore. From what I've seen, there was nothing impressive at all. That's what I like about the "Kill Bill" movies...Lots of violence. "Pulp Fiction" didn't give me the same kick.
Also, I want a movie to grab me within the first 20 minutes. "Pulp Fiction" didn't do that.
Compare that to "New Jack City". You see a man dropped off the Brooklyn Bridge and a bicycle chase with a "French Connection" feel to it within the first 20 minutes.
It's rather odd, but that's the way I feel.

Well you only watched 20 minutes of it what do u expect dude? Pulp Fiction was way more violent than either of the Kill Bills and at least Pulp was beleivable.
