Definately Friends, ER, and Will and Grace. I havent' been following Will and Grace much at all this year. I am mainly into the reality scene right now.

I have to say that I never got into 90210, Melrose Place and stuff because Fox wasn't available in our area when they came out. I remember friends of mine that went off to college talking about these two shows and being like, you HAVE NEVER seen .......

Never watched a buffy or felicity episode either. I don't know why probablly because they were always on when something else was on that I wanted to watch.

I love Buffy as well, and Big Wolf on Campus, my most favorite show, which was basically a big spoof on Buffy episodes and various movies. Plus it was kinda like Teen Wolf, but not as embarrassingly corny.

I grew up without cable. I didn't start watching these shows until in early 2000, possible 2001 or later . . . Hm . . . Princess Gwenyvere and the Jewel Riders. [Big Grin]

My 90s classic TV shows would look something like this;

Twin Peaks
Quantum Leap (yes I know it premiered in America in '89 [Roll Eyes] )
Babylon 5
The X-Files
Murder One
The Larry Sanders Show
Ally MacBeal (occasionally..)
Sunset Beach [Big Grin]

Never could stand Friends tbh, too many canned (unfunny) jokes from some of the most irritating, overexposed actors of recent times (and to think, I was a big fan of the 80s Courteney Cox [Frown] ).

OH I loved Quantum Leap. I watched that show every week. Quantum Leap was just so different and something different was happening every week. I wish they had good shows like that now. It's too much reality tv now. I don't go for that reality mess. Give me a good show with good writers and actors over reality anyday. My mom would joke around with me because it would be coming on and somebody would come into the room and go what are you watching and I didn't want to take time out to talk so I would say it real quick like QuaLeap. So then they would always so Julie's watching QuaLeap (and they'd say it real fast like that). I always talked real fast anyway, and my mom used to say that's teenage talk. But I still talk fast like that. [Wink] I loved 90210 too. That was another one that I watched every week.

Ditto I loved Quantum Leap. I loved the whole premise and I don't think that any show has managed to match it. Obviously loved 90210 but it got a bit silly after a while. Same for Melrose Place - we all loved that for the first two years and then it got too soapy. Felicity never took off here. Friends, Will & Grace, Twin Peaks, X-Files, ER, Ally & Buffy were huge hits here. One of the suprise hits is Frasier. Personally I adore the show but never expected it to be the huge hit here that it is. There are heaps of brilliant british shows that emerged during the nineties as stand out examples. Depends what genre you want.

Due South was good - forgot that one.

One good comedy show that hasn't yet been mentioned was Dream On with Brian Benben as Martin Tupper. It definately had an adult theme, and there was occasional scenes with partial nudity and language, but it was consistently very, very, funny.

I cannot believe that I forgot one of my absolute favorite sitcoms Wings. How could have forget that jewel. I am still hoping that the studio will get this released on DVD, until now I will have to be satified with my once a day showing on TVLAND.

"In Living Color" actually started in 1989, but is more commonly associated with the 90s, much like "Quantum Leap", "Tales From The Crypt" and "Twin Peaks".

Speaking for myself, I liked:

-"California Dreams" (I hope they release this on DVD and I hope whoever handles it doesn't [bleep] it up with edited episodes or anything)

-Any Spielberg/Warner cartoon ("Tiny Toons", "Animaniacs", et cetera)

-"Daria" (One of the only non-music MTV programs that I could stand)

Sincerely,

John Kilduff
