You've met someone that didn't like it now!

I couldn't stand it. It seemed too much like 'The Mad Monsters Party' (a film from my youth) for comfort. There was also a little too much singing of 'thoughts', sometimes that works well (Les Mis), sometimes it doesn't (Nightmare).

I expected to like it when I saw it at the cinema, but I just couldn't. It tried too hard.

That's just an opinion!

I loved this movie... I'm such a huge fan of Tim Burton he rarely lets me down (although I have decided to erase the dire that was 'Planet of the Apes' and 'Mars Attacks' from my mind)

He should definately bring more of his own creations to the screen... I thought 'Nightmare before Christmas' (although he didn't direct) was splashed all over with his wit and style that makes his movies so enjoyable. Well for me, anyways!

I've heard that he is bringing 'The Corspe Bride' to the big screen next year, (which is animated in a similar way to 'nightmare') I'm also really looking forward to his reworking of 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory' as well.

I love Tim Burton too........but i don't "love"
Nightmare.....<waiting for her beating>

I remember when it came out when I was in highschool.......a bunch of us went and we were kindof dissapointed.

Burger King at the time had promo Nightmare watches (I still have mine) and we all wore them thinking we were so alternative and cool!haha
I can't wait for Charlie either.....I just saw the movie poster for it last night.....I can't wait!

I liked the movie. It's nice to see a musical every once and awhile that isn't about the hills being alive because they had it coming, y'know? The idea was nice, and it was pretty simple for something so popular.

The Charlie and the Chocolate Factory movie sounds neat--I'll probably watch it. I liked the original, though, too.

Ok... I finished watching it. I thought it was very well done. It isn't my favorite Burton film, but I did like it.
Did anyone see The Big Fish? I'm thinking about renting it this weekend.
I also want to see James And The Giant Peach. Was that one any good? I like Tim Burton's stuff a lot. About the only movie he made that I didn't care for was the Pee-Wee Herman thing. I can't stand that idiot!
I loved Batman. I think that's my favorite that he directed, but I didn't like Batman Returns. I thought it was too Pee-Wee Hermanish.
I liked Sleepy Hollow, Frankenweenie & Vincent and sorry Grems...I even liked his Planet Of The Apes.
I didn't think it was a spectacular film, but I found it entertaining and enjoyable.
I like his dark, gothic style and his quirky characters. I can't wait for Charlie & The Chocolate Factory!
