I’ve got a different take. We hired a bus two years ago for a trip from Milan to Lake Como—10 of us—and it was a mixed bag. The bus itself was nice (comfy seats, AC), and the driver spoke English, which was a plus. But it got pricey fast—€900 for two days with some company I found online (can’t recall the name). We hit traffic near Como, and it felt like we wasted time we could’ve spent exploring. Trains are so reliable in Italy, and for Rome to Florence, they’re quick and cheap.
