It was on Saturday night with Xanadu following it- I watched them both. I haven't watched Grease from beginning to end in years...but I knew that movie word for word. That was the first PG movie I ever saw. I think I was 10 or 11 when it came out, my Mom and my Aunt took me to the movies, and I remember we went to Pizza Hut for supper before the movie. I loved it. I had the soundtrack, the photo novel, the trading cards, I wore my hair like Sandy's with the head band.

Great movie, saw it so many times when I was young, caught the musical on stage once too.
Its just a cool movie, considering I'm not a big fan of musicals in general, surprised how well this holds up.
I hear its Paul's favourite movie of all time, even replaced Some Kind Of Wonderful as his all time favourite film...

Just watched Grease (1978) and believe me, it was the first time ever. I bought a three movie Travolta dvd box and it was included.
I have this love/hate relationship with musicals, but i liked this one.
I watched a naughty and funny Revenge of the Cheerleaders (1976) couple of days earlier and it looks like they used same locations. At least the schoolyard looked familiar.
Next: Grease 2.

GREASE is hands down my all-time favorite movie. Im so jealous you have the photo novel. My sister had that when I was a kid and I used to go in her room and steal it all the time! If anyone ever finds one on eBay let me know!
I have FRENCHY'S GREASE SCRAPBOOK and I highly recommend that to any fans of the movie.
By, the way , about a year or so ago I was in the airport with Jeff Conaway and he looked terrrrrrrrible. My husband knew I had a childhood crush on "Kenickie" so he kept telling me to go over and say "Hi" but I just COULDNT, thats how all-kinds-of-messed-up he looked.

Grease is my wife's all time favorite movie, which means...she's made me watch it a million times...I do like it...but not as much as her. A few years back when it was re-released in theatres for its anniversary, me and my wife actually got to go see it at the drive-in...which was cool....

Good ole Grease. I guess I have an attachment to it since I had a role as the greaser Doody in our high school play of Grease. The movie was kind of fun, although I can only see it every so often. Always thought Jeff Conoway would have made a great Keith Richards in a Rolling Stones bio pic.

My mother has said that somehow I must have been hooked on the film during my preconceived stage; when watching what I guess was the network debut on TV a couple of months before I was born, I kicked around in the womb as if dancing to the musical numbers. Perhaps it was thus fate it would be the drama club production in my junior year of high school (I played Eugene).

I remember when I was planning my wedding 12 years ago joking that I wanted SHA NA NA to play at it!
To this day every once and awhile I make a mixed tape and stick Born To Hand Jive on it. That song always puts me in a good mood. ("How looow can you go? How loooow can you go? How looooow can you go?!")

ahhh how can you go wrongw th greese that movie is sooo classic and entertaining! i had a vhs copy of it and without realizing i bought a DVD copy and yess born to hand jive is such a mood lifter i love doing the hand motion thingy its hilarious. and its funny because i wasnt even born till many many many years later and everyone in my generation has heard of and watched this movie. :} Grease 2 on the other hand...

I believe you see him when they put the frog in Pattie's bag during the school montage at the start (where it cuts from character to character). I think he's also one of the basketball players when Danny tries to become a jock (he might even be the one Danny punches).
