Any fans? He has only three albums but they are really good. He died in 74 and his mucis only became popular after death. His song Pink Moon was used in a Hyundai commercial I believe.

Nick Drake was one of the UK's finest folk musicians.
I love everything he ever did, but 'Bryter Layter', for me, was his finest album.
"Pink Moon" appeared in an advert for Volkswagen.

Always liked that song during the commercials... He died way too young... What a shame...

He never sold records, barely gave performances due to his shyness when he was alive. Developed a slow cult following since his death to where now he's listed as one of the greats. Never can travel too far without carrying some of his music. Love Things behind the sun and Time of No Reply. I heard from someone that Heath Ledger had a Nick Drake fixation, he liked the song Black eyed dog.

I've been a fan of Nick Drake for over 10 years. The song "Pink Moon' was used in the 2000 VW Cabrio convertible commercial which pushed the sales Pink Moon to new heights. The first Nick Drake song I ever heard was "One of These Things First" from the film "Crush"(2001).I remember watching the TV screen very closely for the credits to find out who the composer/singer was! I went to the music store that very weekend & purchased the Way To Blue CD. I remember being so glad they had it, it was the only one. What a comfort that album was! I have read both of his biographies..enjoy each album over & over...so you can almost ask me almost anything about Nick!!

I think I first became aware of Nick Drake around 1998-99. He was an amazing guitar player, as well as singer-songwriter.
"Northern Sky" is one of my favourite ND songs. Truly Beautiful.
Does anybody here remember, Sandy Denny. She was the lead singer of 'Fairport Convention' during the late 60's early 70s. She died at an early age as well. She had one of the most captivating voices I've ever heard.
Have you ever been to the Fairport Convention festival? It's called 'Cropredy'. I have been to the village it's held in while it's on because there is still music, stalls and a lovely atmosphere. Didn't go in to the actual festival though. The Fairport Convention play it every year.

No, I've never been. I've seen clips of it on youtube, and it looks incredible.
