When I was very young in the earky 80's I watched this eurpoean show about these kids going around solving mysteries. I just want to know if the series of 26 episodes is available in North America, or is it only in region code in Europe?
Anyone remember it or were fans of it?

The Famous Five. Or, as I like to call them, "The Goonies".
Don't know about the availability of the DVD's in the US, but if they aren't on Amazon.com they probably aren't available. You could always region hack your player (if your TV can play Pal).

Yup. Unfortunately I am old enough to remember this one. I was a big fan of this series, though I don’t remember too much of it. Wasn’t the dog’s name Timmy or something?
Other shows I loved to watch in the 70’s were: D!ck Turpin and um… Black Beauty hehe .

Best adaptation of Enid Blyton's Famous Five books to TV were Five Go Mad In Dorset and Five Go Mad On Mescalin. Both excellent 1980s spoofs by the Comic Strip team, and no doubt widely available on YouTube......

Adrian Mole isn't on DVD yet, which is a shame because even though it's dated it still holds up really well as fun entertainment.
