I got the DVD of this movie a while back, & I do enjoy it. I like the story idea of H.G. Wells travelling to the future to catch Jack The Ripper, & the chemistry between Malcolm McDowell & Mary Steenburgen was so...wonderful. (Consdering they married shortly afterwards... )
Simple & charming, & overall, not a bad flick. ^_^

I loved this movie back in the day. Scared the hell out of me at times. McDowell was born in my city of Leeds, the home of cinema.

I remember watching this movie on TV for the first time back in the late 80s. It is funny how much the fashion had changed in the 10 years since it had been made. I was intrigued by it. I didn't know it was available on DVD, this is one I am going to have to keep my eyes open for.
