I only saw the movie once but Ring of Bright Water was one of my FAVOURITE childhood books - totally traumatised me though, couldn't bear the thought of otters being hurt! If you liked this you would like a children's story called "The White Seal" - totally traumatic too but will put you off buying a fur coat forever.
