I know that this doesn't really qualify as a movie question. What was your favourite album or movie of the 70s? My faves were Ring Ring and Arrival by ABBA. I guess I was fairly influenced by my parents but in hindsight they were bloody good albums!

I would sneak into my brother's room when he was out and I played all his Disco albums. Saturday Night Fever, Blondie, Donna Summer, Abba, Chic, Gloria Gaynor etc.

I think the first album I bought was Star Wars and Other Galactic Funk. Ha..actually it was good.

I think I must have been 4 or 5 and my godparents took me to JCPenneys for my birthday present. I was such a dang spoiled kid that I walked out of there with not only 1 record, but 3. I got Leif Garrett, Shaun Cassidy and KISS. My parents were cool with the first 2 but freaked about KISS. I have been a diehard fan since and my parents have never forgiven my godparents for it.

Did anyone else have the Kiss trading cards as a kid? They were a hot comodity at my grade school in the 70's. I still have them in a shoebox with all my baseball cards. I didn't even listen to Kiss music much back then, but having the trading cards was a sign of coolness I guess. Better than pokemon!

I had an Andy Gibb and Shaun Cassidy album, and definately the Grease soundtrack was one of my first. I had the Grease trading cards.

My first 8-track was either the Saturday Night Fever ST, or it might have been Donna Summer's "On The Radio".

Richie you need to stay out my brother's album collection. [Razz] [Smile]

The first album I bought was THE WHITE ALBUM.

My favourite movie: Butterflies are free

I bought the newly released DVD and thanks to modern technology I bought the U.S. version ( I live in Germany and we do have a different country code for DVD - but I own a code free player) and for the very first time I could hear the non-dubbed version. Still love that movie. I have to admit, I had a crush on Edward Albert [Smile]

I guess Abba and Queen were my favourites, as a result of my parents. I grew to love Led Zepplin from my late primary school years until my late teens, thanks to my best friend.

Stairway To Heaven is still to this day the #1 song on most Rock & Roll Countdowns you hear in the US.

And As We Wind On Down The Road
Our Shadows Taller Than Our Souls
There Walks A Lady We All Know
Who Shines White Light And Wants To Show

Sadly, I think that there was a stage there where every radio station in Australia just FLOGGED Stairway to Heaven. God I got so sick of it, but am gradually appreciating it again. My all time faves were "Whole Lotta Love", "BlackDog" and "Misty Mountain Hop"

ISIS I think we are long lost sisters. My mom had records, seems so funny to say that, of the Grease soundtrack, and SHawn Cassidy.

Those are the two that stick out the most in my mind because the Great one had all kinds of cool things from the movie on the inside jackets. The Shawn Cassidy one was a really close up picture of him and I can just remember starring at it a lot. He like really wasn't one of my favorites or anything but there was something about that album cover that I couldn't take my eyes off of.

I found the Shaun Cassidy album and it still has Jessie's lipstick marks on the cover where she was kissing it all the time. [Wink]
