The song is the title theme from the 1972 movie "Ben". It was nominated for a "Best Song" at the Academy Awards that year.
"Ben" was the sequel to the 1971 movie "Willard".
BTW, "Willard" was remade earlier this year.
A little trivia about the song: The song "Ben" was originally supposed to have been sung by Donny Osmond. But the song's composer liked Michael Jackson's voice better, so he suggested that Michael do the song.
