Finally watched this totally insane and highly entertaining film directed by David Sheldon. Lawrence David Foldes (Young Warriors, Nightforce) wrote the original story which is heavily influenced by Coffy (1973).
Lucinda Dooling plays Mary Ann 'Lovely' Lovitt who enters the Pacific Coast High to avenge the death of his brother Arthur (Vincent Roberts, who was sadly shot the same year during a robbery of the Pup "N" Taco Driveup). Dooling is so cute that i may have to revisit The Alchemist and Surf II which she also starred in.
The cool cast also includes Pamela Jean Bryant (H.O.T.S., Lunch Wagon), Mark Holden, Michael O'Leary, Susan Mechsner, always fun Irwin Keyes ("Too Mean" Levine from Zapped!), supergeek Marvin Katzoff (Hardbodies), Linda Shayne (Screwballs, The Lost Empire), Rick Moser, Mel Novak, Richard Herd and Mary Beth McDonough.
Lovely model/actresses Pamela Bryant and Susan Mechsner
Lovely but Deadly includes few karate fights and oh boy those scenes are hilarious We can also see all-girl karate class in action.
The Bondesque theme tune is pretty cool and i liked the hard rockish song Mark Holden and his band performs.
Crazy but superfun movie!

My quote from an old post, which is worth repeating here: "You haven't lived--or laughed as hard--until you see Lovely But Deadly where Lucinda Dooling, with rippling biceps, shoves marijuana down a guy's throat and hops from table to table in a school cafeteria in the worst choreographed martial arts fight in any movie ever. The whole thing is just so much fun and memorable that I once nicknamed a co-worker "LBD" because she's lovely...but deadly. ROFL"
I'm glad that you finally caught it, aTomiK. It's really something, isn't it
