I first saw this on cable back in about 1996. I think I still have it on tape somewhere around. As in taped off of TV. If you are a a young teen this movie is awesome.

The trailer looks great! It seems that they never released Fast Talking here which is surprising.

I think you would like it dude.
Did they release most Aussie movies in Finland?
Perhaps one to add to your VHS collection.

They released lots of them but not all. One supercool Rewinder helps me a lot getting the ones they didnīt

Most Austalian movies which were released here, were disguised as being American productions. Couldn't tell from the sleeves that they were in fact Australian.
I doubt Fast Talking was ever released on video here in Holland.
Nice trailer indeed... Forbidden fruit panties are super-cool !

So true, gotta love those panties!

I always thought BMX Bandits was American when I was a kid (and I watched it a lot back then), it wasn't until I watched it again a few years ago that I realised it was an Australian movie.

We even had Mad Max with the American dubbed audio ! It wasn't untill the dvd era that we finally got the original Australian audio track.
All other titles probably had the original audio, but as a kid we didn't even notice the difference, i think.

on a bit of a different note there used to be a australian sitcom i used to watch some years back that for the life of me i could never remember the name of,that was until a couple of weeks back i saw it on youtube ,it's called all together now - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0101036/
i thought it was from the late 80s but i was wrong it is actually from the early 90s,it run for only 2 seasons, they used to show it here on channel 3(itv) and i used to quite enjoy watching it,i was wondering if any one else had ever come across it?

I saw this on Ebay the other day for 20 bucks but I am sure I still got it on tape somewhere. I think I would buy it if there were a DVD release but don't know hoe likely that would be.
I don't remember seeing it at video stores or anything. Just off of cable in 96. I watched it a lot back then and used to quote it a fair bit. I love the cricket bat handle scene. Oh yes and the Forbidden Fruit panties scene.
There is one scene in the movie and shows it's time when they used to sell cigarettes off the shelf just like any other product. I always liked that bit of nostalgia.
I definitely remember that show warrior and think I may have watched it a few times.
I know it's a teen movie but I can't recommend it enough.

I loved "All Together Now", I had the same problem struggling to remember what it was called a while back.
I first saw it on "The Family Channel" on Sky when it existed.

While the site was down, some absolute legend posted the full movie on You Tube:
It looks like a VHS rip but decent quality from what I have briefly flicked through.
Enjoy!

I got the Fast Talking VHS tape from a friend down under some time ago. Iīm going to watch this one soon.

Hopefully you like it

Just watched the film and i liked it very much! Lots of cool chartacters. Rod Zuanic was awesome in his debut role as Steve Carson and i also loved his friends, what a wild bunch Australian movies are so real, they are not faking anything and itīs really refreshing to watch them every once in awhile.
Vicki (Toni Allaylis) was cute and her Forbidden Fruit panties were still hot Zuanic and Allaylis were both also in Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome so i have to watch it again soon.
Wikipedia says that writer and director Ken Cameron hoped to follow the adventures of his lead character in other films but Fast Talking was not sufficiently successful at the box office.
I just found out that Fast Talking was also released on VHS in Finland after all. It was a Vestron Video release and a rare tape so no wonder i havenīt seen it anywhere.
More people should know about this film, excellent stuff!

I think you hit the nail on head with summing up Aussie movies.
That's great that you liked it! Carson is a real rat bag hey. It's a movie I still quote occasionally.
Vicki was hot and her panties even hotter!
Some sequels would have been cool.
It is hard to believe that a low budget and virtually unknown film like this would have had a release in Finland.
I hope you find the Finnish version.
All those people who need to know about it can watch it with the link provided above. Watch it now while you can because you never know when You Tube will a yank a video down. The movie is super rare too so it's unlikely that anyone will put it back up again.
Hopefully this movie can sit proud in your abundant 80's VHS collection for many years to come
I did record this on VHS years ago (probably late 90's) when cable/satellite was ad free in Australia. I still have the tape but the quality is slightly questionable now.
