"McGriff and Albaby are probably doing the worst law enforcement job in the world - they are plain clothes U.S. military policemen on duty in war-time Saigon. However, their job becomes even harder when they start investigating the serial killings of local prostitutes. Their prime suspect is high ranking U.S. Army officer which brings their lives in danger." (IMDb)
Oh, man it was great to see this movie again. Off Limits aka Saigon was written and directed by Christopher Crowe. The cast is supercool: Willem Dafoe, Gregory Hines, Fred Ward, Amanda Pays, Kay Tong Lim, Scott Glenn, David Alan Grier and Keith David.
Although this movie is set during Vietnam war, this is not a war movie, this is a buddy cop flick.
I love the locations (shot in Thailand) and the screenplay rocks. I also like the music. Lots of classics on the soundtrack and the score, composed by James Newton Howard, is very good.
I still remember when we rented this back in the late 80s. Now i own the UK dvd. Highly recommended!

Ah, yeah, I know this one as Saigon, with the catchy cover art. What the heck happened to Greg Hines after the 80s eh? ...oops, his wiki page says he passed away in like 2003, nightmare
