I watched Slumber Party Massacre last night. I had seen it before, and didn't care for it. But it was on Epix Drive-in so I thought I'd give it another go. This time, I liked it! Typical 80s slasher flick, I guess.
Anyway, here's my question. I know that there are two sequels. I looked on Netflix and they're not available by DVD or for instant watch. They got really, really bad reviews from Netflix members. Are they really that bad? If I could find them used would it be a waste of my money? Thanks for any info!

Part 2 is a total guilty pleasure. Not a good movie at all, but still fun! There are people out there that prefer this one over the original.
Part 3 was just bad. A combo DVD with all 3 movies was released a year or so ago so you should still be able to find them.

they sound like fun, horror movies is one of the few movie types that can get away with being a b film. even when their terrible, they are still worth a few laughs

I love the first one!! Actually just bought the trilogy on DVD a month ago. Haven't watched it yet but it's supposedly remastered and has a bunch of extra stuff. I've never seen 2 or 3...I'll give them a whirl but I had to buy the set just to get the new version of the first one.
Guilty pleasure indeed! Driller killer baby!!

First one is definitely a good one. I got to see it in the theater when it came out. 2 and 3 are pretty bad but fun trainwrecks to watch as well. LOL

i purchased the slumber party trilogy on dvd a few months back,i've always loved the first part since watching it some years back, had never seen parts 2 & 3.
i've skipped part 2 and have watched part 3 first and it is way inferior to the original but is not amongst the worst slashers i've ever seen, overall it's still pretty watchable.
one thing i do love about the original slumber party is its music score, sets the tone for the film perfectly - http://youtu.be/Hghdow19t4o .
