There was a movie about a guy walking home from work in a city when the pay phone rings as he walks by. He answers it and its a guy in a nucler missle silo and the guy thinks he is talking to his parents to warn them that the missles were lanched to take cover. the guy hangs up and gose to a local bar and tell everybody what just happened. Anybody rember this movie and what was the name of it. There was anothere one were this guy gose jogging and peaks through a window to see a women dancing. After like the 5 th time she gets murdered and it was a set up. Anybody rember this one too.
I actually planned on doing a "Miracle Mile" thread awhile back .. but the earth was suppose to end.. so I didn't think it was worth the extra effort.
"Miracle Mile" is a bizarre flick that sticks with you for quite awhile after watching it. It is similar to "After Hours" for me in it's outlandish action, except "Miracle Mile" throws in a possible nuclear attack as a twist. It is just a crazy ride of emotions and that ending.. wow!!
The fitness club scene is 80's phenomenal.
It plays out like a kooky modern romance flick that keeps you on the edge of your seat wondering if what is happening is real.

another one i'd like to get round to seeing,i like the sound of this one with its end of the world scenario, and i've always dug anthony edwards,i know there different types of roles but he was ace in gotcha and nerds.
wonder if i'll get round to seeing this before armageddon!

not seen bedroom eyes for years,my older brother rented it out on vhs more or less when it first came out, vaguely remember it being not a bad movie,i know it was filmed in canada and directed by william fruet who made killer party(one i've never seen that i need to get round to viewing)but i've seen a couple of his movies -trapped and blue monkey and they were both a lot of fun.
from what i remember bedroom eyes was a half way decent 80s erotic thriller,i do recollect though it had a sought of very dark and dingy look about it but i think that was common of a lot of 80s canadian shot thrillers at the time, well it was either that or the cbs fox vhs i watched it on was a bit waffy.
i've tried to get my hands on this a few times since but here in the u.k it's been long out of print and is quite expensive to obtain,i'm also sure they made a loosely related sequel a few years later.
i reckon chances are atomik has seen bedroom eyes and probably its sequel,i know he's a big fan of these erotic thrillers.

Hey, i own Bedroom Eyes VHS tape I´ll try to watch it tonight or tomorrow. I´ve been trying to get the sequel too for my Linda Blair (or erotic thrillers ) collection but no such luck yet.
Miracle Mile = classic! I always remember the first time i saw it ,my heart must´ve been pounding more than Anthony´s

the sequel sounds like fun atomik,it's got wings hauser in it and is directed by chuck vincent who made all those classics during the 80s,you know the ones -hollywood hot tubs, wimps and preppies
saying that i can't talk i've got preppies on my shelf.

Preppies...wow, this sucked !
Who's next??
mentioning preppies i thought i'd look up other peoples oppinions of it on the site and i see cindy your a big fan.
getting back to miracle mile and other threads on here of late such as g.o.r.p ,killer party, etc. that even though i've seen thousands of 80s movies there's still a ton of stuff out there, good or bad that i need to track down.

There´s always more, warrior.
I own Preppies and Hollywood Hot Tubs and i like ´em both
Posted by the young warrior (Member # 9554) on :
i also like preppies,i always thought it was quite amusing,i know there's a lot of people out there that don't,but i think it's far from being the worse t&a comedy ever made, not seen hot tubs but i did rent it out once and i told my wife to watch it while i was at work and tell me what it's like when i arrived home. when i got back in and asked her what the film was like i was greeted with this sought of look
i never bothered watching it in the end but i'll have to try and get hold of it again because i reckon chances are i probably would have liked it.

Wow.. that Hollywood Hot Tubs dvd release almost slipped through under my radar.
Thanks for mentioning it !
I also still have a copy on VHS, but i will definitely get the dvd, even if it's only a fullscreen transfer without any extra's.

Oh, they are also releasing Takin´ It Off. Superfantastic!

I'll be damned !
Even more from Cornerstone Media : Pussycat's Paradise. Never heard of it, but the sleeve made me believe it was another obscure 80s sex comedy. Turns out it's actually a 60s nudie movie.. oh well..

Haha!
Takin´ It Off is a must have for any Kitten Natividad fan. I own the finnish VHS tape.
